Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Private Capital Development collects, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Private Capital Development, a Benefit LLC ("Private Capital Development", "PCD", "we") is a Maryland-based firm. Capital Mobilization is the name of the part of PCD that introduces fund managers and institutional investors to one another. PCD operates the website www.capitalmobilization.com.
PCD decides how and why the personal data described here is used. In European and United Kingdom law, that makes PCD the "controller" of that data.
To ask a question or make a request, write to info@capitalmobilization.com or to Private Capital Development LLC, 6701 Democracy Blvd, Suite 300, Bethesda, MD 20817, USA.
2. What this policy covers
- The website www.capitalmobilization.com and the forms on it.
- Emails we send, including introductions of fund managers to institutional investors.
- Our programs, including Capital Mobilization delegations and events.
3. The personal data we collect
Data you give us.
- Contact and wait-list forms: your name, work email, title, firm, and what you tell us about your firm, your fund and your plans.
- Documents you choose to upload, such as a presentation or a one-page summary.
- Meeting bookings: your name, email and the time you choose.
- Your replies to our emails, and notes of calls and meetings with you.
- Your answers to an introduction, such as "yes" or "no" to meeting a fund manager.
Data collected automatically when you use the website.
- With your consent through the cookie banner: pages viewed, time of visit, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location taken from your IP address. We use HubSpot and Google Analytics for this.
- Cookies that are needed for the site to work, and a cookie that remembers your cookie choice.
- Google reCAPTCHA on our forms, which checks that a form is sent by a person and not by software.
Data collected when we email you.
- Whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked, and which link was clicked.
Professional contact data we receive from other sources.
We introduce fund managers to people who work at institutional investors, and we invite fund managers to our programs. To do that, we hold business contact details of professionals in private capital that we did not collect from them directly:
- What: name, employer, job title, business email, business telephone, and the investment interests and mandates of the institution.
- From where: commercial databases of institutional investors and fund managers that we license, and public professional sources such as firm websites and regulatory filings.
We do not collect sensitive categories of personal data, and we ask you not to send any.
4. How we use personal data
- To reply to you and to do what you ask.
- To run wait lists, delegations and events, including telling you about dates, agendas and invoices.
- To introduce fund managers to institutional investors, and to record each person's answer so that we do not write again about a manager they have declined.
- To report to a fund manager on the response to its introductions.
- To keep the website working and secure, and to understand how it is used.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
We do not use personal data to make decisions about you by automated means alone.
5. Our legal grounds (European Economic Area and United Kingdom)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these grounds:
- Your consent, where we ask for it: for example the consent boxes on a wait-list form, and analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Our legitimate interests in running a business that introduces professionals in private capital to one another: for example writing to a professional at their business address about a fund manager relevant to their institution, keeping our website secure, and keeping records of who has asked not to be contacted. You can object to this at any time.
- A contract with you, where you take part in one of our programs.
- A legal obligation, where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
6. Who receives personal data
- Our service providers, who act on our instructions: HubSpot (website hosting, forms, customer records and email), Google (website analytics and reCAPTCHA), and providers of cloud storage, databases, payments and office software.
- Fund managers and institutional investors, as part of an introduction. If you tell us you would like to meet a fund manager, we give that manager your name and business contact details. If you join a delegation wait list, we may name your firm to prospective LP hosts while assembling the delegation, as the form states.
- Authorities, where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- A successor, if PCD or part of its business is reorganized or transferred. We would tell you before your data became subject to a different policy.
7. Transfers outside your country
PCD is in the United States, and our service providers store data in the United States and other countries. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your data is therefore transferred outside your country. You can ask us how your data is protected when it is transferred.
8. How long we keep personal data
- Wait-list registrations: while you are on a wait list. We delete them when you ask.
- Business contact records: while the person remains in a relevant professional role and has not asked us to delete them.
- Do-not-contact and unsubscribe records: for as long as needed to honor your choice.
- Records we must keep by law, such as accounting records: for the period the law requires.
- Website usage data: for the period set in our analytics tools.
9. Your choices and rights
Choices open to everyone.
- Stop marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to us.
- Decline one fund manager: answer "no" to that introduction. We will not write to you again about that manager. This does not unsubscribe you from other introductions.
- Leave a delegation wait list: use the form at www.capitalmobilization.com/delegations/remove-from-wait-list.
- Cookies: accept or decline analytics cookies in the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time.
Rights in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal data;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- restrict how we use it;
- stop using it where we rely on our legitimate interests;
- send it to you or to another organization in a common electronic format; and
- stop relying on your consent, where we asked for it.
To use any of these rights, write to info@capitalmobilization.com. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We answer within one month.
You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Other countries and U.S. states. Some laws give similar rights. Write to us and we will honor a request where the law gives you that right.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, and we limit access to people who need it. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
Our website and services are for professionals. They are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
12. Links to other websites
Our website and emails link to other websites, including those of fund managers. We are not responsible for how those websites handle personal data.
13. "Do Not Track"
Our website does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. Use the cookie banner to make your choice.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We post the new version on this page and change the effective date. If a change is significant, we also give notice on the website or by email.
